Allen and I (Lauren) are AirBnb superhosts! Our home is a hotel-like stay for travelers!
And we're looking for one (1) trusted housekeeper to partner with us, join our team and manage the hospitality experience for our guests.
Airbnb is a hotel-like platform for travelers wanting to stay/vacation and experience the comforts of a home or neighborhood,without compromising the hotel-like amenities. We have successfully been hosting our home for over a year on Airbnb and VRBO (vacation rental by owner). We consistently accommodate between 2-4 reservations per week, for travelers coming into the Cincinnati area for business, family visits, events, weddings, anything you can think of!

Because we are in the hospitality industry, being available daily from 11AM-3PM (including Saturdays and Sundays) is required for the role. We have maintained superhost with a 5 STAR rating quarter over quarter and it's imperative we keep a culture of good guest experiences continuing!

Every guest stay is unique! We host families, businessmen, couples and groups traveling for all kinds of different reasons. We've been fortunate in that we've had nothing but great experiences and wonderful guests staying in our home. We attribute that to the value we put for a nightly rate and the quality of the amenities we provide. However each stay is unique in it's needs. Be ready to expect and anticipate the needs of each group. Kids will be kids and leave crumbs. Guys will be guys and not flush the toilet. Meanwhile, groups of ladies almost always leave the home spotless!
-We want you to be creative and scrappy
We're not local and on PCT time (3 hours behind). So it's important that you have good problem-solving abilities. Get creative and do what you feel you need to do, while maintaining quality for guest stays. Not everything is going to be picture-perfect for guests, especially when in a crunch, but we trust you'll do your best to make it work. Dishes still running and someone is checking in soon? No worries. Leave a note welcoming them and mention dishes are finishing up. Super sick and not able to clean one day? It happens. Have a back-up you can trust. If you trust them, we trust them.

You're learning a new house, new rules and we're forming a new relationship. Stuff happens and we get it. Let's make it FUN and always learn. Mistakes happen. Things get forgotten. Let's get technical.
Responsibilities Include:
Get the space guest-ready
Review each guest stay with us
Restock essential supplies
Cleaning and maintenance
Document (photo/video) any damages, required maintenance/repairs needed
Cleaning and stocking guest rooms
Changing and making beds
Scheduled deep cleaning
Washing, drying, and folding laundry
Occasional outdoor work (cleaning off deck, grill, firepit)
Water plants (inside/outside)
Maintaining an organized work area
Reporting inventory and checklists
Engaging with guests in a friendly manner (when or if needed, in urgent situations)
Keeping a positive and professional atmosphere
Requirements:
MUST be available between 11AM 3PM dialy; including Saturdays and Sundays
Dependable
Reliable transportation
Ability to respond to text/calls quickly
Detail oriented with eye for presentation is a MUST
Organization and solid work ethic
Cleaning background preferred
Hospitable and good communication skills
Physical ability to clean at a quick pace, lift up to 30 lbs and be on feet for up to 8 hours
Integrity is a must
Must be available for urgent house-calls pertaining to guest stay (locked out of house, need assistance getting in, home emergency/maintenance issue, etc.)
Must have back-up for emergency situations you may not be available

Pay/Schedule:
5-20 hours per week
$16.67/ hour
Paid weekly
Monday-Sunday 11AM-3PM (not everyday required, mostly 2-4 days a week)

Details about the job:
Walk-thru/learning the space and process ---- Allen and I do not live in the area - we reside in California. All interviewing/teaching/on-the-job learning will be done remotely. Must be tech savvy and know facetime for interviewing and house walk-thru.
Turn-overs (cleaning after each guest stay) will take between 1-3 hours ( we payout 3 hours of labor for each turnover, even if turnover doesn't take that long)
Average of 2-4 turnovers per week
Laundry and bedding will be the most time-consuming as we have a normal household washer/dryer that takes average 90 min per load. Must be able to multi-task to complete work in under 3 hours and maintain laundry schedule.
Deep-cleanings are scheduled seasonally for 6-8 hours.
Will be provided home access through the August Smart Lock - a lock system that uses your phone's Bluetooth to lockunlock door physical backup key provided at later date for emergencies

A little about us:
Allen and I (Lauren) have been together for 5 years, originally from the Columbus area. We travel full-time for our wedding photography business, with our main base currently in southern California. We put our home on the Airbnb market for travelers in June of last year (2017) and have been filling up the calendars month over month since. We're away 100% of the time, so it's important that we build a good relationship with our housekeeper as we will be communicating and depending on you for our guest's experience. We want this to feel more like a partnership as it's important that we have a culture the promotes teamwork, quality and passion for the scope of work. We have an amazing husband-wife team helping us thus far, but unfortunately their schedules have drastically changed and no longer align with the above schedule.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
